Vale has signed an agreement with the City Government of Vitória to return its operations at the Tubarão Industrial Unit
Vale informs that, it has signed an agreement with the City Government of Vitória to return its operations at the Tubarão Industrial Unit, with the clearance of the waste water treatment systems that were interdicted since last Thursday (February 7th), resulting in the immediate return of the supply stocking area, the pelletizing plants 1, 2, 3 and 4 and also the port services of coal.
The agreement establishes that Vale will anticipate investments in initiatives to improve waste water treatment and port air quality control systems, thus contributing to the improvement of the air management of the city of Vitória (state of Espírito Santo).
Additionally, inspections were carried out by the City Environmental Authorities and by the State Environmental Institute on February 8th and 9th, when it was verified no irregularity in the waste water treatment system which operates according to the Operational License.
