The PTP is the main gateway to our operational and technical positions
We value and boost the careers of everyone in mining, inspiring dreams and expanding opportunities in the industry.
In order to train new talents for the labor market, the Professional Training Program offers operational and technical professional qualification in the regional markets where Vale operates. In this way, we train talents to work in various business areas.
The PTP is applied in partnership with Senai and Vale's Technical Business Areas and aimed at people 18 years of age and older, graduates of Regular High School or Technical High School Courses.

We value all people
We work to be a more diverse and inclusive company. Since 2021, we have offered exclusive or preferential vacancies for women in the PTP, as in other Vale recruitment programs.
We reinforce the awareness and engagement of our professionals to promote together a safe environment where everyone has a voice and opportunities for development, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, or if they have any disabilities.

"We have an environment that values diversity and is constantly evolving. In addition to learning based on Vale's production processes, the PTP also offers the start of a career with responsible action, seeking local development and sustainability."

Some of our goals and actions in Diversity and Inclusion
Ethnic-Racial
We are committed to being an anti-racist company, and together we work every day to promote equal opportunities in our company, to value our black talents and to combat racism in all its forms. We have set the goal of having 40% of Vale's leadership positions in Brazil composed of black people.
Gender
We believe that the presence of women is essential to building a more collaborative and innovative environment, as well as a more equal future. In December 2019, Vale made a commitment to double the number of women at the company by 2030. The target was brought forward to 2025, after all we have already jumped from 13% to over 22% in representation (data from 2022).
LGBTQIA+
We are made by a plural team and, for this reason, we have created a safe space of respect and care for everyone. As a priority within the Diversity and Inclusion theme, we have increased awareness about sexual orientation and gender identity, regardless of personal beliefs and values.
