The world we live in is going through a number of social advances.
The cultural transformation that Vale is undergoing will only be successful if we manage to bring together diverse talents, with diverse perspectives, experiences and repertoires, where dialogue remains open and transparent. Therefore, we seek to establish a relationship of respect, listening, and zero tolerance for discrimination and harassment, in addition to setting goals for the coming years.
Learn about our diversity journey
We have moved forward on our diversity journey by increasing the representation of women in the workforce and the presence of black people and women in leadership positions.
We took a firm step toward including diversity, equity and inclusion as a strategic pillar by setting a goal in 2019 to double the representation of women in our workforce. In the last few years, we have implemented systemic initiatives and we remain truly committed to advancing the issue even further, also considering the ethnic-racial and sexual orientation dimensions, besides taking measures aimed at people with disabilities.
