Local Talent Development Program

PT Vale Indonesia recognizes the importance of fostering strong relationships between mining companies and local talent. In line with this commitment, we are dedicated to ensuring that local talent actively participates in leadership positions within our organization and has opportunities for professional development. PT Vale Indonesia Tbk strives to create a workplace where local talent can thrive, lead, and contribute to the continued success of our mining operations while fostering positive relationships with local communities.

To support the development of internal local talent, PT Vale has implemented the Local Talent Development Program (LTDP). This program is targeted at supervisory positions and above or equivalent, and is a native of East Luwu.

The program is implemented for 6 months and adopts a 70:20:10 approach, which is a holistic approach to human resource development, where learning is carried out with 70% experiential learning, 20% social learning, and 10% formal learning. The materials provided include technical training tailored to the specific needs of each department, leadership training, and performance coaching. This comprehensive approach enables participants to enhance both their technical skills relevant to their roles and their leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • LTDP Batch 1 was implemented with a total of 10 participants where 40% of the participants were women.

  • LTDP Batch 2 which was held this year was carried out with 15 participants where 47% of the participants were women.
